got it for my PS3. previously a 40gb, I needed an update. Well after installing it cleanly it now has 97bg of free storage. lot better than before.

WB is known for reliability so I'm hoping I won't have a problem.
Packaging was IMPRESSIVE to say the least. Believe me, you won't have a problem on that department: Small box suspending the Hdd placed inside a larger box all cushioned. I've bought externals before and never saw this before.

This review was made on the day the item arrived and installed.

it's not a 5 star because: well where did 20gb go??? I know all drives do this but 20gb?
Plus the PS3 keeps the OS on board so that's my only complain so far.

My son picked out this drive and did not realize it was a small (laptop) size drive. He needed a drive for his desktop computer. I purchase a adapter so I could mount it in the desktop computer and installed it. My son installed Windows 7 and everything worked great. I would recommend this drive to anyone one looking for a great replacement drive.
