Product arrived in just the electrostatic sleeve - NO OEM packaging, no accessories (software etc) that would typically accompany it. The drive was non-functional, which immediately made me feel that this was not even a new drive. I returned it but Computer Geeks did not reimburse me for the cost of shipping it back NOR FOR THE ORIGINAL SHIPPING AND HANDLING CHARGE (i.e. they reimbursed me solely for the advertised cost of the drive & tax).

Make your own decisions, but I will not be ordering anything from Computer Geeks ever again.

I have a RAID 0+1 set up using these drives, since they aren't very expensive with a decent size. I had to buy another, as one of the drives failed after about 2 years. I haven't done any diagnostics to try to figure out why it went down, all I did was replace the bad drive and let the RAID system rebuild the new drive, so everything is running again just fine.

I bought the Western Digital WD3200AAJS caviar as an upgrade to have more space for media files. I was also installing a new mainboard and additional memory. All of my previous HDs have been from Western Digital, with no unexpected problems, so I started shopping there. I didn't have to look long before deciding that this model was a good deal. I installed it 15 days ago, and have had no problems at all with installation, formatting, partitioning, defrag or operation under Vista Home Premium. This a good value for the average user.
