Comment: I hope you never have a single issue with this drive as Seagate Customer Service is nonexistant. I can get no one to contact me. Their call centers always seem to be on holiday.. ugh.. good luck everyone

Comment: I expected that this disk would be great, but it has exceeded my expectations. Impressive small profile. Very fast transfer rate. The management software isn't completely useless(as many are). Half of a TB in my pocket!

Summary: Portable spacious drive. 2008-12-09
Comment: I have used this for a week and I can already say that Seagate is a great brand for external hard drives.
I bought a Western Digital hard drive about a year and a half ago, and I can already see the difference. Seagate does not freeze as much as the WD did, and with the desktop interface option, it makes a great choice for anyone on the go.
I love the portability, but the only problem is that I have no idea where the ventilation area is located. When I use the hard drive, I would like to know how to position it to prevent overheating. But as long as you make sure not to use it on cloth or other non-ventilated surfaces.
The price is good for the size, and I love the fact that it only runs on the usb power; no more clogged outlets!

Summary: you can always trust seagate hardrives 2008-11-24
Comment: quite and fast. i lvoe the glowing lights at the base when it's in use. i have been using this for a few weeks now as a time machine backup drive, and also for music and videos. it's running smoothly and does not generate that much heat.

Summary: Lots of storage in a small space 2008-11-19
Comment: I have another external hard drive that uses a standard drive in a box. I was not prepared for how small this drive is compared to the other drive. The drive is very easy to transport and every thing works great. I really like having the backups and not worrying about losing data.
