I have had this SSD for one year now. Used it to replace the stock Samsung 60 GB 4200 RPM (sloooow) in my Khojinsha SX3. Right off the bat the machine was faster and the battery life got prolongued 30+ minutes. Everything was faster: booting, launching apps. I was getting the occasional lock-ups but I attributed them to Windows 7 or driver issues. At the beginning these lockups happened after 2-3 hours of running but over time they started to occur at lower intervals until the machine became practically unusable: it would freeze after 10 minutes. I would like to point out that I did not abuse the machine at all as I have others for heavier use. The machine was used mostly for Internet browsing and occasional movie watching (DVD or portable HDD). The old HDD is back and the fancy SSD is out in its external enclosure collecting dust. My machine is slower, battery life shorter but at least it runs and does not lock up anymore. $163 down the drain.

Conclusion: DO NOT...Read more

I brought this SSD for my dell mini9.

It is much faster than the original one installed in mini9.

However, once it was suddenly broken, the BIOS in my laptop does not recognize the SSD, instead, it reads that "YATOPDONG BEARFOOT"

The reason I tell you "Do not buy runcore SSD" is that there is no way to receive a repair service.

they have website, but you could not contact with the number and email. Their company is in China.

Please do not buy this SSD. You can find many complains about Runcore in Google.

I was looking for a way to speed up my wife's cherished Dell D430. Unfortunately it uses the smaller 1.8" drive with the an odd interface to connect to. After doing much research I decided the way to go was with this drive combined with a 16GB SDHC card for extra storage if needed. I received the drive promptly, had no issue getting it installed and loading Windows 7 Starter on the machine. Additionally, MS Office 2010 and several other apps are installed and it still has plenty of space left over. My wife and I are very impressed with the improvement in speed and we're hoping the drive holds up for a long time.
