Recieved it fast in a small USPS flat rate box padded with a new UPS bubble pack. Clean but bad scuff mark on 'drive' side... perhaps from removing it from an unused machine. Also had one corner 'roughed up' with a tool like a scribe; no idea why that was done.
Old Celeron 550MHz BIOS wouldn't auto-detect drive correctly on boot-up but did detect it while running setup. Selected 81 G and saved the new setting. Ran FDISK and FORMAT from Windows in command line mode than ran SpinRite overnight. Drive is clean with no detectable usage or bad sector assignment since being manufacturered.
We'll be using this drive for the operating system but no data will be permanently stored on it.

Functioning as expected. Needed IDE HDD because motherboard is old. I have a SATA that BIOS can read but won't allow to install an OS on.
Already installed new OS. Haven't had any problems. As advertised.
