This review is from: Lenovo ThinkPad Hard Drive - 320GB - 7200rpm - Internal (Personal Computers)
I had an old Lenovo laptop with a 60GB drive. When I upgraded to Windows 7 it left little space for programs so it was either purchase a new laptop or upgrade the internal drive. A new drive was less than $100 while a new laptop was going to run me around $500. So, since the old laptop seemed to still run my programs just fine I decided to save the cash and purchase the drive.
Installation was easy, reloaded the operating system and programs and in a couple of hours was back to square one with much more disk space. I can't seem to tell a huge difference with the 7200 RPMs but why not for the price.
Have been running the new drive for about a month and so far it's been just great.

Installation was a breeze on my T-61 Lenovo laptop. I selected this 320 GB HDD by Lenovo because it was the maximum size HDD supported by the older T-61 laptop, and because it is the Lenovo brand, I felt there would be no issues with the HDD's firmware to the laptop's BIOS compatibility. (I do have the latest BIOS firmware update on the laptop). As expected, no issues were encountered.
After formatting, there was slightly less than 300 GB storage available. The fast 7200 rpm HDD provides excellent data retrieval, with no vibration, and minimal battery consumption (if you enable the battery-saving feature of turning off the HDD after x minutes of idle-time.)
I'm pleased with the performance and trouble-free use since installing the HDD 3-4 months ago.
