Comment: I upgraded my Kingston SNV225/S2 256GB SSD drive using DSRD_2_1_0 Firmware (download from SSDTechnologyForum) from VBM18C1Q to VBM19C1Q . Indeed Crystal Disk Info confirms that TRIM is enabled, unlike before the update. Notebook now shutsdown and boots 20% faster. TRIM is a new feature of Windows 7. My notebook is much faster with an SSD, runs cooler, won't have a disk crash. Highly recommended.
Notes in addition to DSRD instructions:
1. I burned a MSDOS 6.22 ISO to CD, using ImgBurn, then booted from it.
2. I accessed DSRD_2_1_0 folder, having renaming to DSRD210, via a 4GB USB drive formatted as FAT (required to be visible to DOS).
3. The CD booted to A:
4. The USB drive was available as C:
5. Be sure to unplug all eSata and USB drives. DSRD did not discover the SSD and hung until I unplugged eSATA device.
