Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology, (S.M.A.R.T.) in the drive warns of predictable impending drive failure. Other features include an average latency of 4.2 milliseconds, less than 9.0 milliseconds' typical average read seek time, 2 MB adaptive buffer, sustained data rates of 23 to 44 MBps, and a slim, 1-inch-high profile.
