This was purchased in order to back up 3 pcs. Great price for a lot of space. It can sit in the dock or just plug in to be functional. The install was fast and I started moving data right away. The sky blue border of the drive cannot really be seen in the product photos but is very pretty. The only negative about this drive is that its light stays on all the time when plugged in (even if you turn off the computer) so prepare to tape it up or unplug it everyday. Honestly, its worth the price even with the light-- I love this thing.

everything was great! the only thing was inside the shipping box, there was a smaller brown box that held the hitachi's white box. on that inner brown box there was "refurbished" tape sealing it. The hitachi box had not been opened however. I had a small panic attack when I thought I had been sent a refurbished item and not a new item like stated. All's well that ends well!

Easy to use. quick trasnfer 15 mb per second. I have saved all my files. My pc still wrong and now I have all safe my files Music photos. You must have one like this. one never know when the pc still wrong...
