I've been using these drives (I own two and use these extensively in a home lab where I load/reload operating systems and use heavy I/O against the drive) for quite a while. I own two right now, and am shopping for two more to replace a drive that failed (the drive that failed in this case is not this model, but the one that came with my laptop from the laptop manufacturer in 2007). No sound at all. May get a little warm on top (near arm rest which is just above the drive), but I have not seen this to cause any issues. Partitioned it into two drives and used the Fujitsu CD to reload Vista in C-drive and everything is fine! |
