Product Review

Glyph Technologies started with the best of the original GT 062, including multiple drive modes selectable with the Glyph Manager software utility and added an eSATA port for blazing fast performance. The GT 062E uses the next generation Oxford 936 chip and hits over 200MB/s sustained throughput over eSATA in RAID 0 mode. That kind of speed is perfect for any production environment. The GT 062E has became a standard in production workflows. With capacities up to 4TB, the GT 062E includes an eSATA port, which enables over 200MB/s sustained transfer rate in RAID 0 mode.Connected by FireWire 800 or USB 2.0, the GT 062E reports the health of the two internal drives using Glyph Manager software. With dual SATA drives under the hood and fault-tolerant RAID modes, there's plenty of speed and reliability for your production applications.

I have used Glyph drives for a long while, for their warranty, data recovery (if needed), built in power supply, and rock solid construction (with a case, no less). I have recorded 52 performance of 24 track uncompressed audio with no hiccups. never had a failure, but during the warranty, I feel especially secure. After, I buy another and put the older one in storage. Buying a new pair of Glyph RAID 1 drives is a Christmas ritual. I use them for critical audio and video applications. Fan is a little loud, but it is what it is.
