I own two of these drives and both have worked well for me. Maybe I'm just lucky given the other review posted here, but I have not had any problems at all. I like this drive because it has a good hard plastic case and is very convenient for travel. The cable is permanently attached and short (about 6 inches) and stores neatly away in the drive itself. This works fine most of the time, but you may need a USB extension cable ($3-4) depending on where you place the drive. Also, should the cable fail (rare) that could be an issue.
This drive runs slower than some, but that also means less heat and makes these drives stackable as they get barely warm in use. The drive feels rugged and well built, has rubber feet attached (not stick on) and an activity light on top that is not overly bright.
