I have this drive and WD's next generation of the same drive, WD7500AADS, the one with 32 MB of Cache.
I used these two drives in my HP Media Vault 2120 and love it. I didn't choose to do a RAID, so I have a combined 1.3 TB of storage in the Media Vault.

One thing to note, the drives work great but data transfer does not seem to be quite as fast as the Blue Caviar or my Seagate Baracudas. A nice hard drive. Its a "green" hard drive so it uses less power. Runs quiet and works just fine!

btw, its only 700gb not 750.

The drive installed perfectly. It runs quite and cool in my freenas (freeNAS.org) box. As with all hard drives, it comes down to longevity and that is not something that I can review 3 weeks after purchase. If you are going to mirror the data than that is less important.
